GENERAL INFORMATION
WHEN: PULSE operates on a seasonal basis. The upcoming session of PULSE will commence February 2010 and last until May 2010. Regular practices are schedule for Saturdays from 2-5. Please note that performances, holidays, and other extenuating circumstances may alter the rehearsal and study sessions. As such, all participants are encouraged to check the website and the PULSE calendar regularly.
WHERE: All rehearsals & study sessions will be held at Kilmer Middle School (http://www.fcps.edu/KilmerMS) located off of Wolftrap Rd. in Vienna, Virginia.
AUDITIONS & APPLICATIONS
PULSE does not rely on the traditional method of auditioning to acquire its members. All prospective members of PULSE are asked to attend the orientation and the two subsequent sessions before any final decisions as to membership are made. In order to run an effective program, PULSE can accommodate approximately 30 members per season. While a good command of the performing arts is desirable, PULSE seeks enthusiastic, hard working, committed, and talented youth who are willing to work in a collaborative and consultative environment where the focus is more on the process rather than the product, and more on understanding the issues and their artistic expression rather than a particular artist.

PERFORMANCES & PRODUCTIONS
PULSE artists do more than just put on seasonal productions. The pieces created and developed through out the season are performed numerous times and in a wide variety of venues such as universities and colleges, high schools, junior high schools, elementary schools, conferences, festivals, and theatre spaces. While members are not expected to participate in all of the performances and programs, they are highly encouraged to attend a significant majority.
